Tottori Sand Dune is the nationwide best-known tourist spot in Tottori Prefecture.
It is the largest sand dune in Japan, stretching 16km(9.9mi) from east to west and 2km(1.2mi) from north to south.
It is western part of Sanin Kaigan National Park as well as Sain Kaigan Geopark.
