It's the hub station for the main trains of JR Sanin Main Line.
It’s also the terminal station for the Sunrise Izumo limited express sleeper train departing from Tokyo.
The ticket barrier is on the 1st floor and is an ample entrance of 100cm(39.4in) width.
The platform is on the 2nd floor, but it's possible to get there using an accessible elevator.
The station staff can help people with disabilities get to the boarding platform and board the train, but prior contact will make that smoother.
However, the Izumo-shi Station for the Ichibata trains is located 3 minutes away on foot from the JR Izumo-shi Station.
The tracks are on the 2nd floor, but it's possible to get there using an elevator.
