It was remodeled from the former Matsue Branch of Bank of Japan, and opened in 2000.
It has a magnificent Western style outlook.
A large door to the basement vault, the fireplace of the chief manager's office, and other items still remain unchanged.
While being nostalgic, it also makes a modern impression.
It's a complex facility featuring souvenir shops, restaurants, cafés, and manufacturing experience facilities.
You can enjoy Matsue tastes such as rental kimono and wagashi making experiences.
Barrier free facilities like ramps, elevators and accessible bathrooms are installed.

Transportation, closest station, bus stop

From Matsue Station, 8 minutes by bus (get off at the Kyobashi bus stop).
Some buses (to Kawatsu and Jusan Center) are low floor.

Matsue City Traffic Office: 0852-60-1111 From Horikawa Yūran Kuroda boarding point to Karakoro Place boarding point, it takes about 20 minutes by boat.
From Karakoro Place boarding point, 3 minutes on foot.
From Matsue Castle, 7 minutes on foot.
The Lake Line Bus has a Karakoro Kōbō Mae bus stop. (Approximately one of three buses is low floor.)
