Oki Islands are known for history, landscape, folk songs, and legends.
There are four main islands.
Oki Kisen Line is a boat company connecting the main land and Oki islands.
It has one port in Matsue, one in Sakaiminato (Tottori) and four in Oki Islands.
To get to Oki Islands, it takes about 2 hours and a half by ferry, but by the fast ferry, it takes one hour.
Reservation by phone (for the ferry) and by phone or through the Internet (for the fast ferry) is necessary.
It's possible to board while in a wheelchair.
The inside of the ferry is wide and there is an elevator and a multipurpose bathroom.

Transportation, closest station, bus stop

From Matsue Station by the Ichibata connecting bus, 40 minutes.
Arrival at Shichiruikō and Sakaiminato ports.
Some buses are low floor, but confirmation at Ichibata Bus is necessary for the operating schedules.
From Yonago Station by Hinomaru Bus Yonago to Shichiruikō Line, 37 minutes to Sakaiminato.
Around 52 minutes to Shichiruikō.
Here too, some buses are low floor, but to be sure to get one, it is necessary to check and confirm beforehand.
